Design Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and creative Design Assistant to join our design team in Copenhagen, Denmark for JEANS INTELLIGENCE.

YOUR TEAM
You will join our international JACK & JONES JEANS INTELLEGINCE department in Copenhagen. The team has a wide range of skills in design, fabrics, wash, style, trims and details, and we work together to create the best JEANS collections for our customers. Our ambitious Design Department is characterized by strong collaboration and a creative atmosphere.

YOUR ROLE
As Design Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating our collections in close collaboration with your colleagues in the design team. You will have a direct impact on the design, fabric, wash, style, and details of our collections, and will be involved in every step of the process – from initial trend research and sketching to wash development and communicating with suppliers and preparing styles for collections. Every day we thrive to take fashion in a more sustainable direction with a focus on responsible product development.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:

• Trend research.

• Preparing design briefs, style sheets and technical drawings.

• Daily corresponding with suppliers regarding product development.

• Daily sparing with the buying department in development and commenting on samples.

• Travelling to supplier to create products and collections in corporation with buying.

• Organizing and updating collection overviews.

YOUR PROFILE
We're looking for someone who can translate their creative ideas into trend-setting and sustainable designs that also resonate commercially. You have a genuine passion for fashion and stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry. As a positive and open-minded individual, you'll bring plenty of energy to the team and thrive in a collaborative environment. Your ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines with a structured approach will be crucial to your success. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment, and your team members characterize you as a supportive and positive colleague that always assists where needed and serves as a great creative sparring partner.

Additionally, we hope you bring:

• Relevant educational background within Design

• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

• Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken

• Keen interest in sustainability

• Strong interpersonal skills  

WORKLOCATION AND TRAVEL
You will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Travel activities are to be expected in the role.
