Do you want to help build one of the most ambitious new brands in sim racing hardware?

Asetek SimSports is developing high-performance sim racing equipment for sim racers worldwide, and we are looking for a Project Lead to help drive the next phase of our product development. This is a one year maternity cover position with the potential for permanent employment.

In this role, you will lead development and product update projects from concept to market launch, ensuring strong alignment across engineering, product management, operations, and external partners. You will play a key role in maintaining execution, transparency, and momentum in a fast-growing and strategically important business unit.

You will report to the Director of Engineering for SimSports and collaborate closely with teams across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and key stakeholders across Asetek.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure strong momentum and clear direction.

• Lead cross-functional development projects (hardware and software) following a Stage-Gate product development process
• Drive project planning, scope definition, timelines, and risk mitigation
• Ensure alignment between engineering, product management, sourcing, and production
• Maintain clear milestones, governance, and deliverables
• Monitor progress, resources, and dependencies across multiple parallel projects
• Facilitate structured decision-making and stakeholder communication
• Identify and manage risks, bottlenecks, and technical trade-offs
• Contribute to strengthening project processes and governance within a growing business unit

Professional Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Lead in a technical development environment
• Experience managing hardware or integrated hardware–software development projects
• Experience coordinating multiple parallel development tracks
• Strong understanding of structured product development processes and milestone planning
• A technical educational background (mechanical, electronics, or similar) is preferred
• Experience from growth-oriented or evolving organizations
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken
• Experience with project management tools
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and PDM is an advantage

Travel & Location

Daily presence at the Svenstrup office is expected to ensure close collaboration with the engineering and product teams.

Up to 12 days of travel annually to be expected.
