About R&R Consult

R&R Consult is Denmark's first consultancy dedicated exclusively to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). We are a small team of specialised engineers with strong backgrounds in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, combustion, and numerical simulation.

Our size allows for close collaboration, short decision paths, and a high degree of technical influence. We value engineering insight, physical understanding, and scientific rigor over standard solutions. Discussions about modelling approaches, assumptions, and simulation results are a natural part of our daily work and an important reason why we deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

We work on challenging engineering problems across power generation, process industries, transportation, and green technologies.

CFD is not a supporting activity at R&R Consult – it is our core business. As a CFD specialist, you will spend the majority of your time solving fluid flow, heat transfer, combustion, and multiphase flow problems rather than performing general engineering tasks.

The Position

Due to increasing demand for our CFD services within the power and process industries, we are looking for a CFD Specialist to strengthen our team.

You will work on advanced simulation projects involving:

• Combustion systems

• Multiphase flow

• Heat transfer

• Industrial process equipment

• Boilers, furnaces, and thermal systems

• Flow optimisation and troubleshooting

• Model development, validation, and interpretation of results

• Technical reporting and client interaction

The role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects for a wide range of industrial clients.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an engineer who has:

• An M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline

• 1–5 years of relevant CFD experience from industry, consultancy, or research

• Experience with combustion simulations

• Experience with multiphase flow modelling

• Proficiency in Ansys Fluent

• Experience with Ansys Meshing or Fluent Meshing

• A strong understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer

• Good written and spoken English

The following qualifications will be considered an advantage:

• A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field

• Experience from the power generation or process industries

• Experience with User Defined Functions (UDFs)

• Experience with transient simulations and advanced physical models
