About the Role

We're looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer to help our Umbraco Cloud customers get the absolute most out of the platform. You'll be the trusted technical advisor who makes sure customers are set up correctly, following best practices, and getting real value from their investment in Umbraco Cloud.

This isn't a reactive support role. You'll proactively engage with customers, use observability data and tooling to spot potential issues before they become real problems, and build lasting relationships. You'll combine deep technical expertise with genuine care for customer outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Technical Onboarding: Guide new customers through Umbraco Cloud setup, making sure they start with a solid foundation including proper environment configuration, deployment workflows, and performance baselines.
  • Proactive Health Monitoring: Use tooling and observability data to identify at-risk deployments before customers notice. Reach out with actionable recommendations, not just alerts.
  • Deep Troubleshooting: Dive into complex technical problems spanning application code, Azure infrastructure, and Umbraco internals. Work closely with engineering when escalation is needed.
  • Enablement & Documentation: Create guides, best practice documentation, and run workshops that help customers and partners become more self-sufficient on Umbraco Cloud.
  • Customer Advocacy: Bring real customer feedback and pain points to product and engineering teams. You'll have a direct line to influence how Umbraco Cloud evolves.
What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of backend development experience with .NET/C#
  • Hands-on experience with Umbraco CMS. You'll need to understand Umbraco internals to diagnose production issues effectively, so this one is non-negotiable.
  • Experience using or hosting on Umbraco Cloud
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms, preferably Azure (AWS or GCP experience is also relevant)
  • Excellent communication skills. You can explain technical concepts clearly to both developers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable being customer-facing and building long-term relationships
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience working at an Umbraco partner agency
  • Azure certifications or deep infrastructure knowledge
  • Background in customer success, technical account management, or solutions engineering
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Experience with performance profiling, memory dump analysis, or production debugging
What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll be measured on real customer outcomes. That means things like faster onboarding times, fewer escalations to engineering, improved customer retention on Cloud, and the quality of feedback you bring back to the product team. After 6 months, you should be the person customers ask for by name when they need help.
