EU Engagement & Cerv programme officer

About the position

You will help implement the CERV National Contact Point mandate in Denmark, with a focus on communication, outreach, and thematic input on equality, non‑discrimination and civic participation. You will also support the Institute’s international fundraising efforts and contribute to developing tools, insights and partnerships across our global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive CERV outreach and communication, including online platforms, publications and events.
  • Interpret and communicate CERV funding priorities, technical requirements and opportunities to Danish stakeholders.
  • Provide thematic input on equality, rights, civic engagement and EU values.
  • Deliver presentations, seminars and information sessions across Denmark, including at Folkemødet and CERV events.
  • Support DIHR’s broader fundraising efforts (donor screening, donor profiles, external relations data and strategic insights).
  • Contribute to planning and implementing EU‑funded projects and ensuring compliance with EU requirements.
Your qualifications

  • Master’s degree in political science, humanities or another relevant field.
  • Experience in communication, editorial work or public outreach.
  • Strong digital skills and excellent written/verbal communication in Danish and English.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated interest in European affairs, equality, rights and civic participation.
  • Motivation to learn more about EU funding and compliance.

The Danish CERV National Contact Point, hosted by the Danish Institute for Human Rights, provides nationwide guidance on the EU Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (2021–2027), supporting Danish organisations in accessing funding to promote participation, equality and fundamental rights.

Terms

The position is full-time based in Christianshavn, Copenhagen, with a weekly average of 37 hours. Starting date 1 June 2026, or as soon as possible. Salary and other conditions will be determined in accordance with the Danish Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Association, with the possibility to negotiate individual supplements.
