The Department of Molecular Medicine (MOMA) at Aarhus University Hospital is looking for an experienced software developer for a full-time permanent position, 37 hours per week, starting October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
About the positionAs personalised medicine continues to expand, we are looking for a software developer with a background in computer science or a related field. You will become part of a closely integrated team of software developers and bioinformaticians working on the development and operation of bioinformatics pipelines and IT solutions for clinical diagnostics and research in a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) laboratory.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with users, including clinical academics, biomedical laboratory scientists and medical doctors, and has direct relevance for patients with, for example, cancer or genetic diseases.
You will take part in interdisciplinary collaborations both within Aarhus University Hospital and with external partners from Aarhus University, the Danish National Genome Center and the other Danish regions. There may also be opportunities to take on project management responsibilities, depending on your interests and qualifications.
About the departmentMOMA is an innovative department with a high level of activity in both clinical diagnostics and research. We perform several different sequencing strategies and are also involved in the development of LIMS systems, biobanks and clinical databases.
