Global Supply Chain Policy & Development Lead

Reporting to the Director of Global Supply Chain and sitting within DRC's FRISC/Supply Chain unit, this role leads policy & development for supply chain, with a focus on strengthening DRC's ability to develop, innovate, and deliver impactful supply chain outcomes. Operating as a strategic architect, you will design and implement forward-looking supply chain policies, governance, and processes that strengthen DRC's competitive advantage, operational excellence, and sector-wide impact, with a primary technical emphasis on procurement policy and governance, sourcing models, and category strategy development.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Drive the organisation-wide procurement and supply chain development agenda, aligned with DRC's strategy, the humanitarian sector reform agenda, and the evolution from legacy to next-generation supply chain capabilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain global supply chain policies, quality standards, and governance frameworks, conducting periodic reviews and driving harmonisation of processes across operations

  • Act as Business Process Expert (BPE) for the Procure-to-Pay (P2Pay) process within DRC Dynamics 365, enabling digitalisation and process simplification across global supply chain systems.

  • Lead the development of organisation-wide category strategies anchored in data, supplier segmentation, and sector best practice, including sourcing models and consolidation opportunities

  • Establish performance frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs that translate supply chain policy, systems, and category strategy into measurable organisational value

  • Build organisational capability through training, coaching, and technical support, sharing evidence and lessons learned to advance sector-wide humanitarian supply chain excellence

  • Develop business cases and secure stakeholder alignment for strategic supply chain investments and system upgrades

  • Support Director of Supply Chain in strategic engagement with public and private sector partners, and initiating scalable pilots in logistics, technology, and financial services

  • 3-5 years' experience with ERP systems and associated compliance monitoring

  • Demonstrated in-country & or Regional/HQ experience managing supply chain operations in developing country contexts with NGOs and/or the UN

  • Master's or equivalent relevant academic degree

  • Fluent English

Desirable

  • Danish, French, Spanish and/or Arabic language skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
