Internal Account Manager

Copenhagen or Skive - Fluent German speaking

Are you motivated by converting open opportunities into structured sales activity through disciplined follow-up and strong CRM habits? If you bring experience from sales-oriented roles and a highly organised, self-driven way of working, you might be the new colleague we are looking for to strengthen our German sales organisation. Mastery of German and English, both spoken and written, is a must.

Take ownership of converting opportunities into revenue across Germany

Reporting to the Sales Manager for Germany, you will strengthen customer engagement, improve lead conversion and maximise revenue opportunities through structured follow-up, proactive communication and CRM discipline. You will act as a dedicated Internal Account Manager, converting open opportunities into measurable sales activities while supporting the Area Sales Managers with better insights, better data and more qualified customer interactions. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Proactively identify leads for new business opportunities and work systematically in CRM according to the Vikan Sales Excellence Processes, including updating contact persons, creating tasks and scheduling appointments
  • Build relationships with key end users and position Vikan as the preferred partner and supplier, identifying opportunities for solution selling and category expansion within key accounts
  • Work with the German Sales team to secure more POS data, and analyse data and trends to create sales opportunities for the sales team
  • Support Area Sales Managers with insights and tools for local engagement, utilise Salesforce dashboards, and book meetings on their behalf
  • Increase the number and conversion of site surveys by engaging accounts
  • Drive Shadow Board aftersales and reorder growth by re-engaging customers
  • Convert direct deliveries into site surveys and additional revenue through follow-ups aligned with distributor agreements
  • Strengthen relationships with key end users through quarterly follow-ups, ensuring continuity, satisfaction and early identification of emerging needs
  • Increase awareness and sales of new and strategically important products, including introducing key end users to new product ranges, promoting focus products and following up on sample products

Structured, self-driven profile with good commercial skills

You bring experience from internal sales, account management or business development, combined with strong business and sales concept orientation and solid commercial and negotiation skills. You approach your work in a dynamic, hands-on and solution-oriented way, and you are performance-driven, ambitious, credible and direct in your approach. You are highly organised with strong follow-up discipline and able to convert enquiries into real opportunities. You are comfortable working with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, and with MS Office. Experience with ERP systems and/or Business Intelligence systems is an advantage.
