Royal Indian ApS operates three authentic Indian restaurants located in Aarhus, Valby, and Roskilde. We are known for traditional Indian cuisine, authentic ingredients, and high quality standards.

As part of our continued development, we are seeking an experienced Head Chef specialised in Indian curry dishes for our restaurant in Valby.

The Position

As Head Chef, you will have overall responsibility for the operation and quality of the curry kitchen. You will be responsible for development, planning, and daily management of the department, and you will play a key role in ensuring an authentic and consistent culinary experience for both restaurant guests and catering customers.

Your primary workplace will be in Valby; however, flexibility is required as you may occasionally be assigned work tasks in Roskilde or Aarhus.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation and production of traditional Indian curry dishes for both restaurant service and catering.

• Daily management and coordination of the curry department, including operations, quality control, and production.

• Purchasing of raw materials, ingredients, and necessary supplies.

• Staff responsibility within the curry department, including shift planning, instruction, and task allocation.

• Training and supervision of staff in authentic cooking techniques, hygiene requirements (HACCP), and work procedures.

Qualifications

We expect that you:

• Have documented experience in Indian cuisine, particularly curry dishes.

• Have experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar managerial role.

• Are structured, quality-conscious, and able to work efficiently during busy periods.

• Possess strong leadership and collaboration skills.

• Comply with all applicable food safety and hygiene regulations.
