Product Manager

Are you driven by taking ownership of your products end-to-end – from idea and proof of concept to commercial success in the market? Do you thrive when you own the full product lifecycle and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement and the wider organization to make your products succeed?

If so, you might be our new Global Product Manager we are looking for at ABENA! 

We are looking for a Global Product Manager with a holistic and commercially grounded approach to product management. In this role, you take end‑to‑end responsibility for your product portfolio within Foodservice – from early development and proof of concept through launch, market adoption, optimization and eventual phase‑out.

To succeed in this role, you must truly master supplier ownership.

This includes hands‑on responsibility for sourcing, price benchmarking, contract management, and price negotiations and a deep understanding of what it takes to actively drive and optimize a global product portfolio, not just manage it. Success also requires that you understand that great products do not succeed in isolation. Success in this role is created together with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality and our subsidiaries – and you actively engage, challenge and align the organization to ensure your products perform in real markets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • End‑to‑end ownership of your own product portfolio, from development and proof of concept to launch, optimization and phase‑out
  • Define pricing structures and develop product and sales concepts that support category strategy and market competitiveness, as well as trend and competitor analysis to ensure strong positioning and commercial relevance
  • Close collaboration with Sales, actively using customer and market insights to shape products that work in reality
  • Driving product validation and proof of concept before scaling across markets
  • Coordinating product launches with Sales and Marketing, including value propositions, pricing, positioning and training
  • Working closely with Procurement and suppliers to ensure feasibility, cost awareness and supply robustness

What we hope you bring:

  • A proven track record within classical product management, category management, or sourcing, preferably from a commercial or procurement‑driven organization.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to work analytically with assortments, pricing, market data, and Excel.
  • Ability to understand technical product details and communicate them clearly through presentations, training, and dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience working cross‑functionally with suppliers, sales, marketing, and category management in a complex organizational setup.
  • A structured, independent, and responsible working style, with the ability to manage one's own product area and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a relationship‑driven mindset and motivation to develop suppliers, products, and markets
