betterpeople A/S is looking for a Head of Accounting on behalf of Global Pack A/S

As Head of Accounting at Global Pack, you will play a central role in ensuring high quality, structure, and transparency in the company’s financial reporting across the group. This position is ideal for someone motivated by complexity, with strong expertise in financial reporting, and a desire to influence both processes and development.

betterpeople A/S is looking for a Head of Accounting on behalf of Global Pack A/S.

Global Pack

Global Pack Group is a successful international trading and production company with a strong financial position, a well-defined structure, and a solid business model. The company specializes in packaging and supplying components to customers worldwide within the furniture and kitchen industries, including suppliers to IKEA®.

The company’s head office is based in Denmark and is represented locally through fully owned subsidiaries in Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, and China. Global Pack Group values engagement, team spirit, respect, and flexibility. Its organizational structure is flat, promoting open and direct communication.

Head of Accounting

As Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for driving and ensuring the quality of financial reporting at both group and entity level. This is a newly created position, offering a unique opportunity to shape responsibilities, workflows, and the development of the role itself. You will report directly to the CFO and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the group.

You will work closely with subsidiaries and local accounting teams to ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting. You will be responsible for executing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, as well as preparing audits by collecting and structuring the necessary documentation in close collaboration with the organization.

In addition, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, and actively contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls. A key part of the role will also be ensuring structure and consistency in accounting processes across countries, as well as contributing to the standardization and integration of new entities into the group.

The role combines in-depth financial reporting with the opportunity to bring a more business-oriented perspective. You will therefore hold a position where you both work closely with the numbers and contribute to creating insights and decision-making support for the business.

International collaboration and development

As this is a newly created position, you will have a unique opportunity to influence both the scope of the role and the development of the finance function. The position involves close collaboration across countries and functions, requiring the ability to navigate different market dynamics, including cross-border trade and VAT matters. You can expect a workday with international interaction and approximately 20–30 travel days annually.

Global Pack is undergoing a digital transformation journey, focusing on optimizing and streamlining the finance function. You will have the opportunity to influence this development and work on creating smarter processes in collaboration with accounting teams and the wider organization.

Professional expertise, structure, and impact

We expect you to have a strong financial background and solid experience in financial reporting, either from a similar role in an international manufacturing company or from auditing. You have experience with annual closing processes, financial management, and reporting, and are familiar with ERP systems and digital tools.

You work in a structured and independent manner with a strong sense of responsibility. At the same time, you possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships, especially in collaboration with accounting functions and international colleagues. You thrive in an environment characterized by complexity and change and are motivated by solving challenges.

Fluency in English is essential, and Danish is an advantage. As a person, you are analytical, persistent, and driven. You take ownership of your tasks and are motivated by being an active part of a growing and evolving company.
