Rygaards International School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our team for a fixed-term position of one academic year, from 1 August 2026 to 1 July 2027.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will teach within the Cambridge curriculum, including:

• Cambridge IGCSE Geography – 3 lessons per week
• Year 7 Social Studies – 2 classes (3 lessons per week each)
• Year 8 Social Studies – 2 classes (3 lessons per week each)
• Year 9 Social Studies – 2 classes (3 lessons per week each)

This role involves teaching across both the upper and middle school, contributing to a dynamic and internationally minded learning environment.

Additional Responsibilities

Depending on the qualifications, experience, and interests of the successful applicant, additional teaching or pastoral responsibilities may be offered. This could extend the position towards a full-time role.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Holds a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, BEd, or equivalent)
• Has experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Geography (or similar international curriculum)
• Is confident teaching Social Studies / Humanities across lower secondary year groups
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• Is committed to student-centred learning and academic excellence
