Your team

You will be an integral part of a dynamic team of over 12 data and AI enthusiasts, located in Odense and Hanoi, focusing on building AI-powered image processing pipelines that serve the real estate industry at scale, processing thousands of property image orders every day through GPU-accelerated machine learning (ML) services running on AWS and Kubernetes.

Our production AI handles multiple machine learning tasks: classification, segmentation, object detection; generative & non-generative approaches. We operate with strict SLAs, real-time queue management, and autoscaling GPU infrastructure. This is applied ML engineering with real production constraints.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to turn ideas into well-engineered solutions — balancing product velocity with long-term maintainability.

About the role

We are looking for a software engineer to join our R&D team in Odense. Your focus is the engineering side of our ML systems: making sure models get from research into production reliably, that pipelines are well-tested and maintainable, and that the infrastructure the team depends on is solid.

You don't need to be an ML researcher, but you should understand how ML models are trained, deployed, and served well enough to build good infrastructure around them. Day to day, you'll be writing production services, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deploying to Kubernetes, integrating APIs, and building the tooling that helps the rest of the R&D team move faster.

What you will do

• Build and maintain the services and tooling that support our ML pipelines in production
• Apply software engineering best practices to ML workflows: CI/CD, automated testing, reproducible training runs, and containerised deployments
• Support deployment and operation of ML services with docker (AWS EKS and on-prem GPU clusters)
• Integrate third-party APIs and managed services into our production pipelines, including fallback strategies and monitoring
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting for ML systems (Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code that other engineers can build on
• Write scripts and automation to reduce manual work across the R&D workflow
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions with the team
• Contribute to our Friday tech talks, share learnings, demo works in progress and discuss ideas.
• To foster collaboration between Denmark and Vietnam, we encourage our R&D engineers to visit our Hanoi office.

Required skills & experience

• Software engineering experience
• Strong Python skills; comfortable writing production-grade code, not just scripts
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, code review, documentation
• Experience with Docker and containerised deployments
• Experience integrating and working with external APIs (REST, gRPC)
• Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows
• Comfortable with Linux and command-line tools
• Understanding of how ML models are trained, evaluated, and deployed (you won't build models, but you need to understand the workflow)

Other useful skills & experience

• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Familiarity with AWS services (EKS, S3, SQS, CloudWatch)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
• Experience with message queue systems (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with ML serving frameworks or model deployment patterns
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm charts)
