We are hiring for positions within:

• Housekeeping
• Restaurant / Waiter Service
• Breakfast Kitchen Team

Combined roles are highly welcomed and may include work across different departments depending on your skills and interests.

About Ærø Hotel

Ærø Hotel is a family-owned and family-operated hotel located in the charming maritime town of Marstal on the island of Ærø, Denmark.

With 100 rooms, approximately 35,000 overnight stays annually, conference facilities, restaurant, bar, indoor swimming pool, and a strong focus on hospitality, we welcome guests throughout most of the year.

Our guests are primarily mature travellers, and we are proud to be Denmark’s only adults-only hotel.

The working language at the hotel is mainly English, and our team consists of employees from several different nationalities.

Your Responsibilities

Depending on the position and department, tasks may include:

Housekeeping

• Cleaning guest rooms and public areas
• Changing bed linen and towels
• Restocking guest supplies
• Ensuring rooms meet hotel standards
• Supporting guest comfort and cleanliness

Restaurant / Waiter Service

• Serving breakfast and dinner
• Guest service and table service
• Preparing restaurant areas before and after service
• Maintaining cleanliness and high service standards

Breakfast Kitchen Team

• Assisting with breakfast preparation
• Basic kitchen and food preparation tasks
• Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
• Supporting kitchen operations during breakfast service
• Following hygiene and food safety procedures

We Are Looking For People Who

• Speak and understand English
• Are reliable, positive, and responsible
• Enjoy working in hospitality and teamwork
• Can work in a busy environment while maintaining quality
• Are flexible regarding working hours and tasks
• Have previous experience within hotel, restaurant, cleaning, or kitchen work (preferred but not always required)
• Are willing to learn and contribute to a strong team culture

Accommodation is available in our staff housing located approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Private room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
Rent: EUR 100 per week per person including water, heating, electricity and internet.

Salary

Starting salary before tax + 12.5% Danish holiday pay:

Housekeeping: DKK 125 per hour (approx. EUR 16.75)
Breakfast Kitchen Team: DKK 145 per hour (approx. EUR 19.45)
Restaurant / Waiter Service: DKK 140 per hour (approx. EUR 18.75)
