Restaurant operational manager

Position Title: Operational Manager
Company: Mexihagen Frb ApS
Location: Frederiksberg Allé 41B, ST 7, 1820 Frederiksberg, Denmark
Employment Type: Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Reporting To: District Manager – Benjamin Rasmussen Nikkhah

Position Summary

Mexihagen Frb ApS is seeking an experienced and results-driven Restaurant Operational Manager to oversee and optimize all operational activities across the company's Danish and swedish business operations.

The Restaurant Operational Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of existing business activities, including restaurant operations, catering services, customer service standards, employee management, operational development, and future expansion projects.

The position plays a key role in supporting the company's growth strategy and will be instrumental in the planning, implementation, and management of future restaurant locations throughout Denmark.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Mexihagen's business activities.

  • Ensure efficient and profitable operational performance.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures and workflows.

  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.

  • Support management with operational reporting and recommendations.

Catering Operations

  • Coordinate and oversee catering projects throughout Denmark.

  • Ensure timely preparation, delivery, and execution of catering services.

  • Manage staffing and logistics for catering events.

  • Maintain quality standards and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop operational procedures for large-scale catering activities.

Human Resources and Team Leadership

  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new employees.

  • Train employees according to Mexihagen's operational standards.

  • Conduct performance follow-ups and coaching.

  • Manage employee scheduling and workforce planning.

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Customer Service & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain high customer service standards across all operations.

  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.

  • Ensure consistency in food quality, service quality, and customer experience.

  • Resolve operational issues and customer concerns when required.

Expansion & New Locations

  • Participate in the planning and launch of future Mexihagen locations.

  • Assist in site preparation, operational setup, staffing, and training.

  • Develop scalable operational systems for multi-location management.

  • Support the implementation of company growth strategies throughout Denmark.

  • Coordinate opening procedures and operational readiness for new units.

Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare operational reports for management.

  • Monitor staffing levels and operational costs.

  • Assist with budgeting and operational planning.

  • Maintain documentation related to operations, training, and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with Danish food safety and workplace regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant, hospitality, catering, or food service management.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Experience managing teams and operational workflows.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and make operational decisions.

  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in multi-site restaurant operations.

  • Experience opening or managing new business locations.

  • Experience with catering operations and event management.

  • Knowledge of food safety and hospitality regulations in Denmark.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position (37 hours per week).

  • Work may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.

  • Travel within Denmark may be required.

  • Hybrid work arrangement may be permitted for operational planning and management tasks.

  • Company equipment, including mobile phone and computer, will be provided.

  • Company vehicle may be provided when required for business purposes.

The role is expected to evolve into a senior multi-site operational management position as the business grows.
