Job description IT University of Copenhagen seeks a part-time lecturer to teach the course Mobile App Development in the MSc in Software Design. The part-time lecturer is expected to give course lectures and exercises, as well as the assessment and grading of students. Mobile App Development is a 7.5 ECTS course offered as part of a specialization in the MSc in Software Design. The course runs over 14 weeks, with weekly lectures and associated exercises, typically enrolling 30–50 students supported by 1–2 teaching assistants. The course introduces mobile app design and development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for the Android platform, with a focus on concurrency and modern architectural patterns. Students enter the course with prior knowledge of programming and software development principles. The course is examined through an individual oral exam on the course syllabus. Grading follows the Danish 7-point scale and involves an external examiner. The course is taught in English.
The ideal candidate should:
- Document experience with teaching, preferably at the university level, including course design and development of teaching materials in mobile development or related areas.
- Have practical experience with mobile app development, including familiarity with modern development frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Salary and terms of employment Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Taxation’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) and job structure for academic staff at universities.
Qualification Requirements The following qualifications are required:
- Candidates should have a MSc (or equivalent)
And at least one of the following qualifications
- Relevant high-level practical experience not obtained through a university, scientific employment
- Employment in a main scientific position at another university
