Job description We are seeking a candidate with solid professional and/or academic expertise in information security, IT risk management, and cybersecurity governance who can contribute to educating future professionals working at the intersection of IT and digital technologies, business and management, and organizations and society.
Cybersecurity and Risk Management is a 7,5 ECTS course (elective) that runs once a week, for 14 weeks on the 5th semester of the B-GBI programme. It provides students with an introduction to Information Security Risk Management and enables them to lead risk assessments and reflect on the applicability of different techniques for risk assessment and management. The course grounds risk management in the realities of contemporary business and public sector organizations operating under European regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act and GDPR. Through dialogue and exercises, the course encourages reflection on current and future challenges of Information Security risk management.
Students are expected to learn to analyze through qualitative and quantitative methods across local- and cloud-based IT-systems as well as analyze potential impacts from threats materializing.
The Global Business Informatics programme educates students to understand and shape the relationship between digital technologies, organizations, and global business practices. Students come from interdisciplinary backgrounds and are trained to work critically and practically with digital transformation in organizations and society.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:- Organizational aspects of cybersecurity
- Data governance and cybersecurity
- Data ethics
- IT-security, User privacy and Data Governance risks
- AI governance and AI-related risk
- Regulatory compliance (EU AI Act and GDPR)
- Security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
- Information Security Risk Assessment
The selected candidate will:- Teach and facilitate course sessions for undergraduate students
- Contribute to course planning and development together with the teaching team
- Design and facilitate exercises and case-based learning activities
- Supervise and support student project work and assignments
- Participate in assessment and grading activities
- Bring contemporary industry and/or research perspectives into the classroom
Qualification Requirements The following qualifications are required:
- Candidates should have a MSc (or equivalent)
And at least one of the following qualifications
- Relevant high-level practical experience not obtained through a university, scientific employment
- Employment in a main scientific position at another university
Applicants should ideally have:
- A relevant MSc or PhD degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Teaching experience at higher education level and/or significant professional practice experience.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and organizational concepts to interdisciplinary student groups.
- Experience working with contemporary organizational cybersecurity challenges
- Effective collaborative and communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Professional experience from industry, consultancy, public sector organizations, or regulatory/governance work is highly valued.
