Platform & Solution Architect

We are looking for a Platform & Solution Architect to join our Data & Digitalization (D&D) team in Aarhus. Our data platform is the foundation for how Stibo Systems measures performance, supports decision-making, and enables future digital capabilities. In this role, you will help define that future by setting architectural direction, enabling colleagues, and ensuring we build sustainable, modern data solutions.

The role
In close collaboration with our Enterprise Architect and with direct reference to the Head of Data & Digitalization, you will own the architecture, roadmap, and evolution of our Microsoft Fabric–based data platform. You’ll ensure a scalable, governed, and business-aligned platform across the full data lifecycle — from ingestion and modeling to semantic layers and operations.

As Platform & Solution Architect, you also act as Product Owner for the platform: setting direction, prioritizing value, and ensuring strong architectural and delivery practices. The role combines strategic leadership with selective hands-on contribution where it matters most.

What you’ll do

  • Own and evolve the architecture and roadmap for the Microsoft Fabric data platform.

  • Act as Product Owner: define priorities, features, and development practices aligned with business goals.

  • Translate business needs into scalable, enterprise-aligned platform architecture and standards.

  • Define patterns for pipelines, data models, semantic layers, governance, and operations.

  • Contribute hands-on where needed, including complex or non-traditional data use cases (e.g. telemetry, logging, ML/AI workloads).

  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, and Integration teams.

  • Mentor and guide teams in modern data architecture and delivery practices.

The team
You will report to the Head of Data & Digitalization and join our internal D&D team of ~15 specialists, primarily based in Aarhus. The team works across four closely connected capability areas: platform and data engineering, analytics and data products, integrations and applications, and governance and enablement.

Together, we act as a strategic data partner to Finance, Product, R&D, Customer Success, and commercial teams globally, building and operating the platforms, products, and practices that enable data-driven decision-making across Stibo Systems.

What you bring
You take ownership and drive execution with structure and foresight, planning ahead, anticipating dependencies, and raising risks early to ensure reliable delivery. You communicate clearly and calmly, guiding both technical and business stakeholders through complexity. At the same time, you balance short-term outcomes with long-term sustainability, strengthening architecture, collaboration, and ways of working across the team.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • Strong experience architecting modern data platforms (Fabric, Lakehouse, ELT, metadata, governance).

  • Proven ability to act as Product Owner, shaping roadmaps, prioritizing, and driving value delivery.

  • Hands-on experience with data engineering, including pipelines, transformations, data modeling, and orchestration.

  • Experience designing scalable, governed data models and semantic layers.

  • Solid delivery fundamentals with a pragmatic approach to trade-offs while protecting long-term architectural integrity.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to mentor and guide engineers, analysts, and integrators.

  • Familiarity with Kimball modelling and sustainable BI architecture patterns.
