You will help build high speed drone solutions with a strong focus on Visual Computing, AI and sensor fusion. You will work closely with a highly experienced AI expert and collaborate across a broad engineering group (Mechanical, Mechatronics, AI, Robotics, Embedded and Software).

Field tests can take place outdoors in relevant environments.

Your primary tasks

• Develop perception software for drone/robot platforms with focus on Visual Computing and AI / neural networks

• Implement performance-critical components in C/C++

• Work with sensors: selection, testing and multi-sensor fusion

• Apply strong 3D physics and motion understanding (movement in 3D space, coordinate frames, kinematics/dynamics) to make perception and tracking work in real flight conditions

• Build test setups, run experiments and support real-world validation (including outdoor tests when relevant)

Must-haves

• Strong C/C++

• Solid Visual Computing experience

• Practical experience with AI / neural networks (training to deployment, real-world performance)

• Strong understanding of physics and motion in 3D space (tracking, estimation, coordinate frames, kinematics/dynamics)

• System thinking: integration, debugging, testing and making things work in practice
