Semco Maritime is strengthening its information security capabilities and is seeking a Security Operational Specialist to join our Digital & IT organization, so if that sounds like you, then keep reading.

Your position

This role sits at the intersection of security, technology, and business. You will work closely with cloud, infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders to operate and continuously improve security solutions, contribute to incident response activities, and ensure that security and risk requirements are implemented in a practical and technically sound manner.

You will join a growing information security team, reporting to the CISO, working alongside peers with expertise in security architecture and security operations. The role is hands-on and analytical, with a strong emphasis on Azure-based environments, identity and access management as an essential security control, vulnerability management, and proactive security improvements.

Your place of work will be at A dynamic and international working environment at either our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, or at our satellite office in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. You will become part of a growing security team with real influence on how security is designed and implemented in practice. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 10 days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve information security controls across cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong focus on Azure.
• Own and develop core security capabilities such as identity and access management, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices.
• Perform security threat analysis in connection with incidents, near-misses, and risk scenarios, and use the findings to review and strengthen security controls and overall resilience
• Translate security requirements, risk assessments, and policies into concrete, technically actionable controls and implementation guidance.
• Contribute to security architecture reviews, incident response preparedness, and post-incident analysis, in close collaboration with our security architect and infrastructure and application teams.

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a structured and analytic specialist, who is passionate about Operational Security and wants to leave their personal mark on it. You have a pragmatic mindset and strong collaboration and communication skills

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• A relevant candidate degree and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a technical information security role with a clear engineering or implementation focus.
• Strong technical understanding of Azure and cloud security concepts, including identity and access management, networking, logging, and monitoring.
• Practical experience with identity and access management and vulnerability management in enterprise environments.
• Ability to perform technical security assessments of new software, platforms, and vendors, and translate identified risks into concrete security requirements and implementation recommendations.
