About the Role

At Alipes, you will be part of a team developing in-house financial software in C#, where you will:

• Implement, verify and optimize financial algorithms

• Create infrastructure to support analysis of new algorithms and execution of the existing ones

• Improve automated monitoring of the algorithms

In doing so you will get a chance to tackle a variety of performance problems, such as GC, networking and parallelization, ensuring that we are trading leaders in the market.

You will get instant validation of your work and experience short feedback cycles, where going from inception to deployment can be a matter of hours. There will be no red tape to cut and no sales people to consult.

About the Team

We’re a growing team of 25 software engineers who are passionate about what we do. You’ll be working in an informal environment where technical discussions are valued, and you’re encouraged to take ownership and pride in your work. You’ll have real influence on the team’s direction, set your own priorities, and choose the tools that get the job done.

We work closely with our quantitative analysts and traders, collaborating daily to bridge the gap between research and production. This cross-functional setup means you’ll have direct access to the people designing the models, allowing for rapid feedback, shared problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of the business logic behind the code.

About You

• 1-2 years of experience with C#.

• Ph.d or M.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent with excellent academic record/grades.

• Working knowledge of (T-)SQL.

• A good understanding of algorithms and data structures and when to apply them.

• A scientific and inquisitive mind.

Nice to have

• Experience working with low latency systems.

• Proficiency in languages like C, C++, Python or Matlab.

• Knowledge of SQL Server tuning and administration.
