You will be joining the payment solution OnPay as part of a newly formed team dedicated to growing our presence across Europe. Online payments are becoming more prevalent every day and our mission is to support our growing merchants by remaining at the forefront of product offerings and reliability. This is where you come in.

We are seeking a Software Leader to manage our team of 8 Software Engineers with cross-functional responsibility of the OnPay platform. This is an onsite/hybrid position based at our office in Skanderborg. The ideal candidate will have a background in Software Engineering, with a proven track record of managing an agile software team. Reporting directly to the Software Director, the Software Leader will have a strong focus on enabling the team to build the best product to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Mentor: Guide the software engineers through the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

• The Agile process: Collaboratively lead and oversee the end-to-end Agile process alongside the Product Owner, from task to deployment, including refinement, planning and tracking progress.

• Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization.

• Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster professional growth and development within the team.

• Technical direction: Provide technical support to the Tech Lead and team, making sure the technical direction is prioritized.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure together with the Tech Lead that coding standards are met and together with the QA Engineer implement quality assurance practices to maintain high software quality.

• PCI Compliance: Make sure PCI DSS Level 1 requirements are kept, with a mentality of seeing it as a strength and helpful tool, rather than an obstacle.

Qualifications:

• A seasoned background in software development, experience in management and leading software delivery

• Proven leadership skills from similar role, with an ambition for further professional growth

• Strong understanding of team dynamics, software engineering and the agile process

• Exceptional decision-making skills, effective communication, and a strategic outlook on software development

• Hands-on technical experience, both from Software Engineering and Operations.

• Strong systematic understanding of software design, architecture, and problem-solving, viewing programming languages as tools to achieve the right solution rather than ends in themselves.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

• Proficiency in English and Danish

• A preference for office-based work
  

In your advantage:

• PCI DSS compliance experience

• Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
