About the role

We are looking for a technically strong Mid-level Electrical Design Engineer (BESS) to support the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure for communication facilities, data centres, and energy storage solutions.

The role is well suited to candidates with a background in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or Automation, including recent graduates with relevant internships or up to a few years of experience. You will work on technical design, engineering documentation, and project delivery for modern power infrastructure, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), communication power systems, and supporting electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical infrastructure for communication equipment rooms, data centres and energy facilities.

• Prepare high-quality electrical drawings, Bills of Quantities (BoQ), technical documentation and design packages for tenders and project execution.

• Produce detailed construction drawings and optimize designs according to customer requirements.

• Support engineering cost estimation, procurement activities and project accounting.

• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning to ensure successful project delivery.

• Participate in technical reviews and ensure compliance with customer specifications and international standards.

• Support the selection of electrical equipment and engineering solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

• Electrical Engineering

• Automation

• Renewable Energy

• or a related engineering discipline.

• Approximately 1-5 years of relevant experience, or strong graduates with relevant internships/project experience.

Experience with one or more of:

• Electrical distribution systems

• Communication equipment rooms

• Data centre electrical infrastructure

• Industrial electrical installations

• Energy storage (BESS)

Technical Skills

Experience with several of the following:

• Low-voltage power distribution

• Transformers

• UPS systems

• Battery systems

• Diesel generators

• Distribution boards

• Communication power systems

• AutoCAD

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

• BIM

• Photovoltaic (PV) systems

• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

• Microgrid design

• IEC standards

• Electrical design standards
