We are looking for a reliable and experienced employee to join a production and slaughterhouse facility located in Horsens.

The position involves supervising and monitoring the slaughter and production line, ensuring that production runs efficiently and that quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

You will be involved in several stages of production, from the arrival of live stock to the point where the end product enters the cooling system.

Main Responsibilities

• Receive and register deliveries of live animals.

• Handle and verify documentation relating to weight, quantity and delivery information.

• Communicate with veterinary inspectors upon arrival of live animals.

• Monitor the slaughter line and ensure smooth daily operations.

• Supervise the stunning equipment and make necessary adjustments.

• Monitor and adjust scalding tanks and plucking machines to maintain optimal processing quality.

• Record machine settings, adjustments and relevant production information.

• Monitor the packing process and quality of the meat.

• Identify and report production or quality issues.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety and animal welfare procedures.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Preferably has experience in poultry processing, slaughterhouse operations or food production.

• Has technical understanding and is comfortable monitoring and adjusting production equipment.

• Is quality-conscious, responsible and able to work independently.

• Is comfortable working in a slaughterhouse environment and handling live animals.

• Is flexible regarding working hours and overtime.

• Can communicate effectively with colleagues and relevant personnel.

Working hours and conditions

• Primarily a 4-day working week (Monday – Thursday)

• Every 7th and 8th week, the schedule includes 5 working days (Monday – Friday)

• Start time 06:30 AM. Working hours depend on production and continue until the slaughter line has finished operating. Long working days and overtime must be expected. Some shifts may continue until approximately 18:00 or later.

Salary and benefits

• Salary based on qualifications and relevant experience.
