Part-time academic employee - DTU Physics

We are seeking a part-time academic employee to implement remote controlled access to photonic quantum information processing experiments in the QPIT section at DTU Physics.

The job
The task involves building a Python package around an existing remote-control API, which will enable researchers in QPIT to easily make their instruments and other devices accessible on our remote control platform. A related task will be to instruct and support researchers in how to do this.

Our expectations of you
You should have a background in software engineering and quantum information science. Experience with custom APIs and automation of instrument control is an advantage.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). In addition, supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTU’s salary structure for academic staff employed in technical-administrative positions at DTU (AC TAP): https://www.inside.dtu.dk/en/human-resources/during-employment/salary/salary-structures.

Starting date is 1 October 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). Working hours are on average 16 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
