About the Role

As Sous Chef at Cafe Flottenheimer, you will support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen, combining hands-on cooking with coordination and supervision. You will take charge during the Head Chef’s absence and maintain consistent standards of food quality, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes according to the menu and quality standards

• Support daily kitchen operations and coordinate workflow during service

• Assist with menu planning and organize food preparation

• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures

• Assist with ingredient orders, inventory management, and waste reduction

• Supervise kitchen staff and lead the team when the Head Chef is absent

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

Working Conditions

• Full-time position

• Work in a professional kitchen environment

• Working hours may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• Responsibility for maintaining hygiene, safety, and operational standards throughout each shift

We Expect

• Solid experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar kitchen role with supervisory responsibilities

• Strong teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to deputize for the Head Chef

• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures

• Passion for cooking and delivering consistently high-quality food
