Purchaser - Global Supply Chain

Do you have experience with technical or project procurement in a larger international company? Would you like to help develop a global supply chain in an international project-driven organization? Then you may be the Purchaser we are looking for.

We are upgrading, servicing, and operating engine- and biomass-based power plants around the world. This creates a continuous need to source goods and services from subcontractors and ensure reliable transport for our customers.

For our Global Supply Chain department, we are looking for an outgoing and internationally minded colleague with commitment, determination, and a positive attitude. The department consists of 20 employees responsible for procurement, warehousing, and transport of goods and services.

BWSC – Ever better energy!

Join us in our mission in building a world of sustainable energy and making a meaningful impact on the world of power generation and energy conversion.

BWSC is a leading player in the power generation industry, specializing in the service, operations, and maintenance of power plants. We are at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, working closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to develop and construct cutting-edge power-to-x facilities. Our commitment to excellence, innovation, and environmental stewardship sets us apart in the industry.

Your responsibilities

  • Support Project Procurement Managers with procurement tasks related to the execution of upgrading, service- and maintenance projects for engine and biomass power plants globally.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and place purchase orders within a defined area of responsibility.
  • Participate in broader departmental activities such as category management, supplier relationship development, negotiations, and implementation of supplier agreements.
  • Contribute to identifying and evaluating potential suppliers.
  • Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update various data, including supplier data, in the ERP system.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries and invoice approvals.
  • Assist with various development-oriented Global Supply Chain tasks within BWSC, including work instructions and new workflows.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with other departments in a dynamic and project-oriented organization. A flexible, cooperative, and positive attitude is therefore essential.

Desired Background and Qualifications

  • Experience within procurement, including purchase order placement and follow-up.
  • Completed education as an office assistant and/or relevant higher education qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience with technical or project procurement.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Good IT skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and meet deadlines.

What do we offer?

At BWSC we build inspiring careers locally and internationally and give you access to a great network of possibilities.

We offer you a position with great colleagues and the opportunity to bring your skills into play and grow professionally and personally. As a Purchaser at BWSC, you will receive a competitive starting salary and a strong reward package.
