About Thorsbjerggaard

Thorsbjerggaard is a Danish farm specializing in the cultivation of edible pumpkins. Our products are supplied to many major Danish supermarkets and specialty stores. We also grow peas, squash, and watermelons.

All work is carried out on the farm, including cultivation, harvesting, washing, and packing.

A valid forklift certificate is an advantage and will be preferred.

The certificate must be valid for use in Europe.

Working Period

As soon as possible – end of March 2027

Working Hours

During warm periods, work usually starts at 5:00 a.m. and continues until around 12:00 noon. During busy periods, additional work in the afternoon may be required.

Working hours may vary depending on the weather and workload. Part-time work may occur. You will have at least one day off per week.

Language Requirements

You must be able to speak and understand English.

Monthly salary

Registered with the Danish tax authorities (SKAT)

Salary paid directly into your bank account, with a pay slip

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old.

• EU citizenship (a valid passport or national ID card is required).

• Good physical condition, motivation, and a positive attitude.

• Farm or harvesting experience is an advantage but not required.

• A clean criminal record certificate from your home country.

• Be reliable and arrive on time.

• Be flexible and willing to help wherever needed.

• Work well as part of a team with people from different cultures.

• Be able to communicate in English.

Accommodation

We have a campsite located on the farm, where you can rent a space in a caravan. Each caravan can accommodate up to four people.

Beds with mattresses are provided, but you must bring your own sleeping bag and bed linen.

The campsite offers access to toilets, showers, laundry facilities, shared cooking facilities (you prepare your own meals), and internet access.

The accommodation fee is all-inclusive.

The cost of accommodation in a caravan is DKK 70 per person per day. A refundable deposit of DKK 1,500 is required and will be returned if everything is left in the same condition as when you arrived.

Holiday Allowance

Holiday allowance will be transferred to FerieKonto and paid according to Danish holiday regulations.

Hygiene Rules

All hygiene regulations relating to the handling and harvesting of food products must be strictly followed. You will receive detailed instructions before starting work.

Failure to follow the hygiene rules may result in immediate dismissal without further warning.

What to Bring

• Please remember to bring:

• Sleeping bag

• Warm clothing

• Practical work clothes

• Boots and waterproof clothing

• Even in good weather, the plants can be very wet in the morning.

Important Documents

You must bring:

• A valid national ID card (and passport, if possible)

• A valid IBAN bank account in your own name

• Documentation proving that you have health insurance in your home country

• Tax Information 2026

• You must bring documentation showing that you have a permanent address in your home country.

• If you worked for us last year and have had other jobs since then, please bring documentation from your most recent employer.

• If you are married, documentation of your marital status is required.

• Please bring copies of all original documents, as well as English translations.
