We are looking for a Royalty Operations & Digital Transformation Manager to join our Nordic Royalty team as soon as possible. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, AI, and complex workflows and who wants to help shape smarter ways of working in a core function of the music business.

About the Role

Your role will combine hands-on Danish royalty operations with royalty process development across Universal Music Nordics.

As part of the Danish royalty operations team, you will help ensure accurate and timely accounting and settlements for artists and rights holders. You will work hands-on with reconciliations, validations, period-end closing, reporting, and analysis.

At the same time, you will act as the Danish champion for digital transformation within the Nordic Royalty team. You will help align processes, share best practices, and develop more efficient and consistent ways of working across the region.

A key part of the role is to actively explore how automation and AI can solve operational challenges, support the development of new digital tools, reduce manual processes, and improve data quality and efficiency. You will assess, design, and implement practical solutions across royalty operations at Universal Music Nordics.

You will combine attention to detail with a broader Nordic perspective, collaborating closely with Royalty colleagues, Finance, Legal & Business Affairs, and other stakeholders across borders. The role reports to the Head of Royalty & Copyright, Nordic Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on day-to-day royalty operations for Denmark, including royalty calculations and settlements for artists and rights holders
• Safeguard data quality through reconciliations, validations, and controls, while supporting period-end closing, reporting, audits, and analysis
• Take ownership of Danish royalty processes and review end-to-end workflows to eliminate unnecessary manual steps and create more efficient, scalable ways of working
• Drive the alignment and development of royalty processes, procedures, and working practices across the Nordic region
• Explore and implement AI-supported tools and emerging technologies to improve analysis, controls, reporting, decision-making, and process execution

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education, preferably in finance, business administration, law, information systems, or a related field
• Relevant experience in operations, finance, royalty administration, data, or process development is an advantage
• Strong technical understanding of data and systems, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with BI tools is highly valued
• A strong interest in exploring AI and new technologies and turning opportunities into practical solutions; experience with AI, automation, or emerging tools
• Experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus, but not a requirement
• Fluency in English & Danish, Swedish or Norwegian is required
